His father has bet almost all of his money on this game. Pat decides to blow dance practice off with Tiffany and attend the game. Sometime during the game, Pat got into a fight and was taken away by police. The Eagles end up losing the game and Pat’s dad (Pat Sr.) is vivid. Someone knocks on the door and it happens to be Tiffany, who isn’t very happy either. She yells at Pat for missing practice and said that Pat needed to read the signs and Pat Sr. would’ve been better off if Pat would’ve went to practice instead of the game. Pat Sr. makes another bet with his friend. If the Eagles win against Dallas, and if Tiffany and Pat make at least a 5 (average) in the dance competition, Pat Sr. will make double what he lost for this game. Pat isn’t very cooperative and doesn’t want to participate in the dance competition under those circumstances. Pat then goes outside and reads the letter Nikki supposedly gave to him. After noticing the phrase “read the signs” mentioned a few times in the letter, Pat realizes that “Nikki’s Letter” was forged by …show more content…
In between those periods, majority of people feel normal. There are several different types of bi polar disorders. Here are just a few examples:
Bi Polar Disorder I: one or more manic episodes (or mixed episodes). Which is when you experience symptoms of depression and mania.
Bi Polar Disorder II: one or more major depressive episodes and at least one episode of hypomania.
Not Otherwise Specified (NOS): does not have a particular pattern of moods and behaviors.
Cyclothymic: mild form of bi polar characterized by several hypomanic episodes.
Rapid Cycling: experiences more manic, hypomanic, or depressive episodes.
Personally, I think this movie does a very good job of portraying bi polar disorder. In the movie, there were examples of his mood changes and how he would be happy one minute and then it could shift easily into anger or sadness. This also displayed about not having a lot of sleep or just changes in sleep in general which is a characteristic of having a bi polar disorder. I won’t say that I can necessarily critique this movie on if it does not show enough of what it’s like to have a bi polar disorder because of what I read from my research on bi polar disorders, this movie is spot
