Verbal and nonverbal communication is a way people interact with one another. Communication is a source of sharing information with one another. Verbally communication is more with a word when speaking or writing, while non-verbal communication is unspoken and unwritten words. Nonverbal is shown through body language. Any gesture we make, or eye contact, or sign language are non-verbal communications. When verbal communication is used the message is received quick, while the feedback is accelerated. The message of nonverbal communication can be delayed due trying to understand the gesture, facial expression, or sign language being related. Verbal communication can be done by a phone call, text, and email. Nonverbal communication must be done in the presence of one another for the message to come across properly. Since verbal communication can be written down there is proof of the communication. Nonverbal communication does not provide any proof of what was said or how it was said. Verbal and nonverbal interactions play a part in the effective exchange of ideas (LeFebvre, 2008). Communicating with people are necessary but at the same time unique. People communicate in an unusual way to understand what needs to be done regarding personal affairs, business, or just fun. It’s the way we talk to each other daily just in our own way. Phutela, D.
