Preproduction is the stage of production where you brainstorm ideas and get ready for the recording of your advert at the studio.

The Tracking/Recording Stage is the stage where you record all the bits that you would need to complet your advert. You record a sound or performance
The role of a Audio Engineer in the Tracking/Recording Stage is to make sure that the quality of the recording is good.The Audio Engineer must come in half an hour to a hour before the voice artist arives to setup the mics and pop fliter and to make sure that you are ready to record as soon as the voice artist arives.As a Audio Engineer you must to realy what out of the voice artist and make sure he/she is comfortable.
We came in half an hour before the artist to setup everything and make sure that we were ready when he/she arived.
We used the SM57 for guitar and the SM58 for vocals. We used these two mics because they are the only mics available to us at the moment.

We made the voice artist feel comfortable and directed him/her where they could improve and the mood and theme we wanted to get out of their voices. Mixing/Editing:
Mixing is the process of blending individual tracks in into one recording to create the best song possible.
The role of a Audio Engineer in the Mixing/Editing Stage is to put all the recordings in the correct place and balance the levels for those recordings.
A Audio Engineer should use EQ to get the most out of each instrument or voice and make a stereo image with panning and add other effects to enhance the original recording

• We Fine-tuned the sound of each instrument or voice using EQ
• We used a De-esser to eliminate the harsh S sounds we used.
