When playing sports, it is very important to know what can help you improve. The next thing is to find out what that is. Golfers have certain golf clubs that have different angles for different types of ranges. Drivers are used for the greatest distance needed, such as the first hit. There are a few things that have an important job in this experiment.
Projectile Motion plays a big role in many things such as sports. Projectile motion is an object or body moving through air (Oregon State University). An example of projectile motion is launching or throwing a ball in the air. Projection angle, speed, and relative height of the projection (landing height) all are three factors of projectile trajectory. Projectile trajectory is …show more content…
Thirty degrees was the best angle to launch the projectile from the rubber band slingshot. Thirty degrees had the best launching distance because of its height. When a projectile is launched to high, it will just come back down. When launched to low, it will just hit the ground. Therefore thirty degrees was the perfect angle since it was not too high or not to low.
After completing this project, there are some flaws and some things I would change. During the experiment, the materials that were first used did not work (bungee cord, tape, part of an old hat). It took one of the time frames we had for that day and we got no were. The next day is when everything ended up working. The materials that were used and seemed to work the best were simply just some rubber bands, metal poles, and some duct tape. Even though that worked, there were still some flaws. Each time a golf ball was launched, the rubber bands moved about a millimeter each time. Luckily they didn’t move to far each time so I just moved them to where they were supposed to be. If there was something that I would do differently if I did the experiment again, I would choose different projectiles and only one angle to launch them from each time. All in all, the experiment worked and the needed data was collected from
