This would consist of receiving, storing goods in a warehouse, managing inventory, scheduling and directing vehicles and distributing the finished goods. The support activities categories are finance and administration, human resources and technology development. Tasks for finance and administration are planning operation, budgeting, processing customer payments, making payments to suppliers, operating computing infrastructure and planning capital expenditures. Tasks for human resources are hiring, evaluating and training employees, maintaining compliance with record keeping to follow government regulations and overseeing benefit programs. Tasks for technology development are publishing research reports online, posting research results, managing virtual collaborative research work groups and connecting researchers to outside sources of research and development services. I would handle the purchasing for my company by choosing who to get the material from for my products and place the orders for the material.
