The arranged marriages and family feuds are what kept them apart. Juliet’s Parents were only trying to marry off their daughter unaware she was already married. The couple were put into a position where nobody believed in them. Everything piled on top and Juliet saw no other way out.
Some people believe that the two were fated to die. That the couple just were not meant for a happily ever ending. But, it wasn’t fate it was a string of unfortunate circumstances and recklessness of the others around them. The two could have had a wonderful love story but the friar’s idea didn’t go as planned.
In conclusion I feel that everyone one and everything helped in some way to Juliet having to drink the potion and the two later dying. I just believe Friar Lawrence could have helped the couple more. Being one of the only people to know of their marriage he could have done more, he was reckless and contributed the most to their
