A lot of things like the food, and the music have been 2 of the biggest impacts on my life mainly because those are what I have been most passionate about my whole life. Music has been a really big part in my life and from what I learned African American music has influenced the music we all listen to today. Jazz, hip-hop, and gospel are only just a few of the main music genres that have been in the world for a while now. As for me, on a daily basis I listen to Indie, Jazz, and somewhat often, Blues. For me I know there is always on certain beat in music that repeats and I also know back in other countries, some people do not have the kind of instruments we do and that is mainly where our music style comes from; from those who only play with what they have and that comes from the African American culture significantly. Music with me is the only thing I have ever had love for ever since I heard my first song when I was little. These foods were referred to as “Soul Food”. Soul Food was brought about to be comfort food for those who were in of feeling better or just wanted something home cooked to eat. With my life I have been sick for a few years now and having comfort food around really helps me when I am in need. Soul Food has also become one of my mom 's main cooking styles for my family and I. I think food is a really big part of my life coming from a big Italian family, We always have family dinners and a lot of the food I consider to be Soul Food because it just makes me feel a lot
