Later, Dozens of people died in the Tivoli Gardens section of Kingston in late May of 2010 in clashes between police and supporters of a drug lord, Christopher Coke, who was also wanted in the U.S. for charges on drug trafficking. Jamaica is about 600 miles south of Miami, Florida in the U.S. Jamaica is apart of a chain of islands called the Greater Antilles, including Cuba, Hispaniola, and Puerto Rico (Perkin).
