Lisa Anderson is the Assistant Attorney General of Nebraska within her career she is required to know her code of ethics as well as, a variety of human services codes of ethics. Her job requires her to look and decide whether action should be taken upon a case legally. In the majority of her cases she deals with professionals who may have broken their code of ethics or have overstepped their bounds within their scope of practice. This can be where the lines get blurred and the black and white is now more of a gray area. Within the code of ethics for the NAADAC SAutonomy is one of the founding principles found on the first page. It claraifys that you are to let your client be independent and self-sufficient. This means that you cannot tell you client what to do and give them advice you must only guide them through issues and attain the overall goal. Autonomy like non-maleficence is also not clarified within the Supreme Court code of ethics.
