The article is a summary of other published works that is objective and unbiased because it was acquired from the results of the datasets as well as facts drawn from other published works. As stated in the reading, the researchers used a “latent class analysis across 2 datasets collected in New Zealand and the United States (Gasiorek, Fowler, & Giles, 2015).” “Disengaged, Engaged, and Bantering are the 3 classes of agers” the contributors “defined by different profiles of communication behavior (Gasiorek, Fowler, & Giles, 2015).” The communicative ecology model of successful aging portrays that uncertainty about aging whether it has a negative affect or positive affect leads to how able a person feels to handle life challenges determining successful aging (Gasiorek, Fowler, & Giles, 2015).” There are 2 tables that layout the results of the study. The study explores how adults talk about and view their aging and or life. The results have shown that the most constructive way to achieve successful aging is to talk with others about positive experiences in life rather than grave issues. If you consistently talk about all the bad things in life with yourself and others you naturally engulf yourself in negative energy. Having a grim attitude all the time will cost heavily on your and others around you. I will apply this concept to better my interpersonal communication by keeping typical conversations I have with others about indisputable experiences in my life. In theory doing this will lead to successful aging leading to a better life
