Environment, human health, and economic impacts that deal with the greenhouse gases. Environment impacts are average annual temperatures are expected to increase, storms and heat waves are likely to increase, and many wild species will have difficulty adapting to a warmer climate and will likely experience greater stress from diseases and invasive species (Environment Canada, 2011). The environmental impacts are not small and will effect human-beings sooner rather than later. Human health impacts are the following: increased temperatures and more frequent and severe extreme weather events could lead to increased risks of death from dehydration and heat stroke, injuries from intense local weather changes, there may be increased risk of respiratory and cardiovascular problems and certain types of cancers, as temperatures rise and air pollution, and finally the risk of water-, food-, vector-, and rodent-borne diseases may increase (Environment Canada, 2011). These are high risks that humans are taking for the greenhouse gases. Economic impacts are agriculture, forestry, tourism, and recreation could be affected by changing weather patterns, human health impacts are expected to place additional economic stress on health and social support systems, and damage to infrastructure from extreme weather events is expected to increase (Environment Canada, …show more content…
(D) Dry Climates have dust storms while (E) Polar Climates have snow storms. Sea levels are rising and will remain to rise as glaciers melt and oceans warm up (Union of Concerned Scientists, 2006). Storms are good for the world; however, with the impacts of global warming it is making matters worse. “The world’s oceans have absorbed about 20 times as much heat as the atmosphere over the past half-century, leading to higher temperatures. As [the] warming occurs, the oceans expand and raise sea level” (Union of Concerned Scientist, 2006). With the sea floor rising this means high storm surges and a higher chance of cities being flooded. When more cities are being flooded then more lives are taken away from the
