More precisely, the sample will be selected from students who will be in Jake’s cafeteria between 12:30 and 3:30 in the afternoon. It should not be ignored that even the students in the Jake’s cafeteria will be filtered according to their relationship status. Since this study observes how texting relates to the relationship satisfaction, adolescents who currently are not in a romantic relationship and who do not possess a cell phone will not be asked to complete a questionnaire. First scale will be The Relationship Assessment Scale created by Hendrick in 1988 (as cited in McGee, 2014, p.410); the second one will be the Kansas Marital Satisfaction Scale created by Schumm, Nichols, Schectman, and Grinsby in 1983 (as cited in McGee, 2014, p.410); and, lastly, Quality of Marriage Index (QMI) created by Norton in 1983 will also be adopted to this study in order to complete the combination of questions related to the relationship satisfaction among students. Even though all three scales will be combined, the survey will be only using them partly. It will include only the most relative and interesting parts of them to construct a questionnaire. Some questions in this survey will include Likert scales such as: “In general, how satisfied are you with your relationship?” and “How well does your partner meet your needs?”. All the questions of the same nature will contain answers from “Poorly” or “Unsatisfied”, to “Extremely well” or “Extremely satisfied”. Using these questions from the The Relationship Assessment Scale, the Kansas Marital Satisfaction Scale and the Quality of Marriage Index guarantees validity and reliability, as they have been tested over and over again by different
