Training and development is one of the most important aspects of our lives and our work. Training is the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of the teaching of vocational or practical skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. Training has specific goals of improving one's capability, capacity, productivity and performance. It is a cosmetic manufacturing company. I also serve as a Career Mentor for several other junior colorists. Kitty Jones is one of the colorist whom I mentor and she is leading a project team for the third time in her 6-month career at this company. She is very delegating in her work and has the competence and commitment on her task. Her communication with her teammates is very clear and effective. The customer had expressed a high level of satisfaction with the company and they praised Kitty`s skills as a team leader. She is hard working and has a willingness to perform her job and believes team work and considers customer satisfaction with high level of performance.
This case is related to training and development. Being a leader is a very challenging task. A Leader should have ability to develop the task-relevant readiness of their followers. The leader must guide their followers in achieving the goals along with enhancing and identifying the potential. Planning goals and strategy for the development of followers is the basic step towards the success of Leader itself.

For that a leader must be aware about the present condition of the followers and their perception towards the situation. Perception is the way we think about or understand someone or something. It is basically the way that we notice or understand something using one of our sense organs. Perception may be influenced by expectations, needs, unconscious ideas, values, and conflicts.
