Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) is a parastatal organization established by an Act of Parliament, The National Parks Act, Cap 282, of the Revised Laws Edition, 2002 The mandate of the organization is “Conservation” which is sustained by the revenue generated through tourism. TANAPA consists of fifteen (15) National parks centrally managed from Headquarters in the Arusha region namely Arusha NP, Gombe Stream NP, Katavi NP, Mount Kilimanjaro NP, Kitulo Plateau NP, Mahale Mountains NP, Lake Manyara NP, Mikumi, Ruaha NP, Mkomazi NP ,Rubondo Island NP, , Tarangire NP ,Saadani NP, Serengeti NP and Udzungwa Mountains NP.

Business strategy
A business strategy is a plan, which illustrates the direction of a company and how it expects to get there. A business strategy commonly serves as a good basis for a fruitful operation of a company. Nevertheless, the management should critically assess their employees to have a similarly clear understanding of the strategy and feel engaged and equally responsible in the business.

Some of TANAPA systems were developed on a stand-alone network basis, thus they are not running on an integrated platform. Once they are integrated the organization will reap the benefits such as shared resources, easy management of resources, removed redundancy, improved access control and security
Lack of dedicated Wide Area Network (WAN)
Lack of dedicated Wide Area Network hinders the Organization to enable the connection all existed parks to be centrally monitored and controlled from Headquarter. WAN enable the Organization to share common resources to operate, it makes network more dynamic, manageable and adaptable that lowers costs, reduce complexity, and easy flow of information with parks and Headquarters.
Lack of data warehouse system for research, analysis and management decision support system
TANAPA does not have central repository of all the Organization and the stake holders' data and information from where it can be accessed by users for business intelligence purposes. Data warehouse has a tool that allow for in-depth analysis of the data and information held and production of Management information reports.
