How does the British show golden balls provide an example of the prisoners’ dilemma game? What are the struggles you see in the participants? The British show, Golden Balls, clearly reflects the concept of the prisoner’s dilemma. This can be shown through the interactions between the two contestants on the show. Each contestant works independently and makes the decision to split or steal the final prize money. If both contestants choose to split the prize, then the prize is separated evenly. Essentially, it informs you on the other contestant’s next move and allows for you to make an educated and successful move. Therefore, this strategy specifies exactly what move to make at every moment in the game. This strategy is viable when it contains the following conditions, being “nice”, being able to retaliate and being forgiving. For the strategy to be “nice”, one opponent must not cheat on the other opponent for self-interested reasons. Successfully strategies must also include retaliation, essentially you can protect yourself by firing back at your opponent if they fire at you. Strategies must also be forgiving, in that they can fall back into cooperating if the opponent does not deflect, eliminating any revenge. During this job, neither of the two on staffed employees were supposed to use their cell phones. If one of the employees was using their cell phone, then the owners of the store would give them one strike. Additionally, they would award the worker who was not using their phone with a milkshake at the end of their shift. If both employees were using their cell phones, then
