However, the League of Nations has also experienced some large failures when they attempted to resolve conflicts between nations that ended in war. These include: the war between Russia and Poland (1920 to 1921), the invasion of the Ruhr in 1923 and the war between Italy and Albania in 1923. (Trueman, 2015). The main reasons why the League of Nations failed to resolve these conflicts was because of their membership, consisting of only 58 minor countries. The League of Nations also didn’t have a very large personal army of their own or any great countries (US, Russia or Germany) to back their decisions, which also resulted in a lack of economy (GCSE history). This was a major aspect of why the League of Nations did not work and because of this, many more wars continued to break out and could have possibly been contribution as why World War II took
