Innovation is any given idea, whether it’s a new one or an old one that has been piggybacked on. Creativity in the other hand is the ability to exceed in excellence by using methods to get to ones marking point. Google is a new idea in which their methods and steps on becoming successful have been accomplished. Google was established in 1998 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page, which began as an online search firm, but now offers more than 50 internet services like email and online document creations to software’s for mobile and tablets (Hosch, 2014). Despite Googles products, its original search tools it’s what remained the core of its success (Hosch, 2014). Both Brin and Page were intrigued with the idea of obtaining meaning from the mass of data accumulating on the internet, and this is where the innovation and creativity came about (Hosch, 2014). Brin and Page created Google by the means of influencing web users ranking abilities by coming up with “backing links”, which are a number of other pages link to one link, and the highest ranked link is how often a search phrase appeared, which made it easily noticeable (Hosch, …show more content…
In an organization it demands quick and decisive actions, but that is not the case here with innovation and creativity. In the same way this plays a big part in the organization once the idea has been created in making decisive actions. On the “Eight Pillars of Innovation” it explains that google starts off with recruiting people who believe the impossible possible, believing that what begins with intuition is fueled by insights, they enable anyone with their own unique skills, perspectives, and passions which helps to move the Google company forward making these leaders unique themselves (Wojcicki, 2011). Keep in mind, key leader traits are necessary for this innovation and creativity to blossom and take the necessary steps to implement the vision in reality.
