This is the PPP approach and is highly beneficial for learners and has many advantages as a communicative approach. A study by Jones and Carter (2013:51) found that PPP 'did have at least a short term impact upon learners’ ability to use the target items in this study and many of these learners felt that it was a useful framework because it offered them opportunities to practise them ' and this supports the decision to include a PPP method as it is what learner 's found beneficial. However, in contrast, there are disadvantages as Hopkins and Nettle (1994:157) found that 'PPP approach to language teaching... is ineffective in attaining its goal of students producing the target language ' but regardless it is highly beneficial and provide a basic framework for a target language. From creating CALL exercises there were many aspects that were difficult. The interesting aspect of the CALL exercises created is the diversity across technology. Due to the interactivity of the quizzes, a learner can 'run software for language learning on portable device ' (Golonka et al, 2014:76) and this allows for 'anytime, anywhere learning ' (Golonka et al, 2014:86). The exercises and the teaching were regarding a specific L1 to English, translations were needed and it was important to incorporate in such a method where there is no confusion. Studies have shown that 'L1 glosses would be more effective than L2 glosses for vocabulary learning ' (Yoshii, 2006) and this determined the decision to include the translation word however, definition in English not to confuse learners but also with the concept that the learners will already have knowledge of frequent words.
