The animals wanted everyone to be treated fairly and wanted to get rid of humans as a means to achieve it. The animals wanted freedom from the humans and equality between themselves. Orwell states, “ All animals are equal” (25). That is the seventh commandments that animals had made for themselves, which they must follow. The goal of Russia was to spread communism and ‘all animals are equal’ no matter how much or how less they work is a communist type view. Like Stalin, Napoleon believed that everyone was equal under his rule. Orwell states, “No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves” (47-80).
