Everywhere children are getting hurt or killed, not by car accidents but by school bus crashes as strange as that should sound as School buses are thought to be safe. An article explains a crash in a Houston School district where two students who were riding the school bus were killed and an additional three students were injured as well. In the article, it states that “A 17-year-old junior at REACH Charter High School was pronounced dead at the scene. A 14-year-old freshman at Furr High School was transported to a local hospital, where she also was pronounced dead” (Mike Kennedy 1).
