A deacons role is to assist the bishop. They are usually assigned by the bishop to work in a parish and help in the care of the faithful. They have the power to administer the sacraments of baptism, witness marriages, visiting the sick, and counseling the bereaved. |

A special title given by the Pope to many priests. |

A cardinal is an honorary title given to bishops, but sometimes priests even laymen.The primary function of cardinals is to elect the Pope. They also assist in the Roman curia. |
