Abortion is a very a controversial topic and I don 't believe it will fully be resolved in my lifetime. This is a probably one of the most contentious issue that haunts America today. I had the experience to witness my friend go through the abortion. I would say I was not in the room with her but I was there at the clinic for moral support. This is why abortion is a topic that I feel strongly about. Before we did this group project, I thought I knew everything about abortion due to the friend 's experience. I did not have any idea what was in store. Even though the group 's topics were not about the horrors of abortion, however, you couldn 't help but read the stories and see the graphic pictures of abortions. Am I pro-life or pro-choice? I think I am a little bit of both. Personally, I couldn 't have an abortion unless it was a medical emergency or rape. If I was going through domestic abuse situation, I couldn 't have an abortion. When I thought about abortion, it never crosses my mind to think about what the fathers have to say about it. There are two sides to this situation. The father may want the child and the mother doesn 't. The side I did not reflect on in the discussion was the father not wanting the child and the mother do. This scenario happens all the time. This will literally open Pandora 's Box for women. I believe that is why they based it on privacy. If they decided to do it, I can picture it as a comparison to female genital mutilation in African. Forcing women to do something they do not want to do to their own bodies. That example may be a little harsh but that is how I see it. The side that I reflect on was the father wants a child. The father may want to raise that child and give it a chance to have a normal life. I am noticing an increase in fathers taking the role of the mothers and wanting to be in the child 's
