An Analysis Of Rapunzel From Disney's Tangling

Decent Essays
I know it sound juvenile, but if I could be one character from a movie it would be Rapunzel from Disney’s Tangled. At the end of the animated movie, Rapunzel is reunited with her parents the King and Queen of Corona and the audience sees the whole family dancing in the middle of the square with all of the citizens. I know it is every little girl’s dream, but I have always wanted to be a Princess. When you are a princess, you get to live happily ever after with a wonderful prince and you never have to worry about taxes, college, or getting a job. Princesses are also listened to; they have the power to really change what they think is unjust in the world. They can give money to the poor and send criminals to jail. They are a hero and a role

If you could choose anyone to be for a brief period of time, who would you be? A simple question you may think, but take a minute. There are so many people in the history of the world that it may seem impossible. Some may choose a historical figure like Abraham Lincoln, whereas others may choose a Celebrity like Samuel L. Jackson. In my case, I chose someone who has been an inspiration to me since I was a kid, Princess Leia Organa from Star Wars.…

One of the character that I would like to be is bilbo baggins because he is a kind Hobbit. He is kind because when bilbo could have killed Gollum in the goblin tunnels when Gollum was trying to kill Bilbo, Bilbo had the chance to kill gollum, but he didn’t do it. Another reason why he is kind is because after Gollum, bilbo could have run back home to the Shire, but instead he came back to the dwarves and fought off the orcs with them. He was risking his life so they could get back their homeland, he wanted to help because he felt sorry for them because they didn’t have a home and he was going to try and help the dwarves if he could. The last reason that Bilbo is a kind hobbit is because Bilbo saved Thorin’s life from the orcs.…

If I could be any cartoon character, I would choose to be Blossom from The Powerpuff Girls. Blossom’s personality is almost a heightened version of mine and I admire her resolve to always be a leader. Blossom is the sister who displays the traits of “everything nice”, which show in her determination, confidence, intelligence, and maturity. Whenever a criminal infests her town of Townsville, USA, Blossom is always up for the challenge of stopping them with her sisters in tow and always leads them into battle. I see my determination, maturity, and self-assurance in Blossom’s character.…

In the original brothers grimm version of rapunzel i talked of the irony in rapunzel's name because she was named after the herb rampion her father traded her for. The dramatization and exaggeration of the piece stuck out to me in the majority of the prince's actions and rapunzel's beginning. The fact rapunzel had blonde hair and was extremely naive seemed to correlate in my mind and the length difference between the original brothers grimm and tangled was very significant. It seemed to correlate with her helplessness based off the fact rapunzel in tangled used her hair to get out on her own but the original rapunzel was trapped by it. The one thing the brothers grimm version did right with in regards to stereotypes was the fact there wasn’t…

If I could chose one person that I would most like to be, I would chose Honey Lemon. She is part of the team Big Hero 6, and she has been featured in a few animated Marvel films. Though Honey is a fictional character, her values and beliefs are very real. She is beautiful, upbeat, intelligent, and someone I aspire to be like.…

I have always wanted to be Obi-Wan Kenobi. Not Luke or Anakin, despite always having an interest in the villain. Just Obi-Wan. When I was younger, my friends and I would often recreate our favorite scenes from Star Wars. Of course, ninety-nine percent of the time that meant reenacting the fight between Anakin and Kenobi from Revenge of the Sith (but I mean come on, two Jedis in a duel to the death while balancing over a lava pit, nothing is cooler than that).…

Rapunzel was backstage awaiting her turn to go on stage, she watched as act after act went on and did an amazing job at making the audience happy. Hearing them laughing, having a good time brought a smile on her face. With each passing act that when on, it grew closer for her to go on. After every act she could feel her heart pounding in her chest, her palms began sweating and she fidgeted with her fingers. You’d think with as much time as she had spent on the stage she would get used to being on it.…

If I could be any character from any story, I would be Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. Luna, has always been my favorite character from Harry Potter, due to her uniqueness, wit, and overall badassery. Though a mere tertiary character, she is nonetheless important. Luna is the epitome of a non-conformist (something which I am not), and extremely iron-willed. While others are stressing about OWLS and classes, Luna is completely carefree, another trait I wish I shared.…

When I was younger, if you had asked me who my favorite Disney character was I probably would have said, "Snow White. " This wasn't because she fell in love or saved her kingdom, but simply because I hated apples and I could argue that apples were poisoned until the adult trying to force me into eating this apple, gave up and left me alone. Of course, now if you asked me the exact same question, I would say one of the following. Peter Pan or The Cheshire Cat.…

In “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,” the phrase “mirror, mirror on the wall” is never stated. It’s actually “magic mirror on the wall.” The “Berenstein Bears” don’t exist; It has always been “The Berenstain Bears. " There are even some who remember a 90’s movie that never existed, called “Shazaam.” Some would suggest this is evidence of us living in a parallel universe, as reported by Douglas Mcpherson on the Telegraph, and that these false memories are actually real memories from an alternate reality we once lived in.…

Throughout this chapter, Foster explains the five components of a quest or journey which are: a quester, a place to go, a stated reason to go there, challenges and trials en route, and a real reason to go there. An example of a journey that consists of these five components would be the story of Tangled. The questor of this story is Rapunzel, who has long hair with magical powers and has spent her whole life in a tower. Gothel, Rapunzel’s guardian, doesn’t allow Rapunzel to leave the tower under any circumstances because she doesn’t want her magical hair to get ruined and lose its power. Every year, the king and queen set out sky lanterns in hopes of finding their missing daughter and Rapunzel hopes to leave the tower to discover where those…
