Benjamin Franklin, one of the influential people in the history of america, some may say he’s america hero. There are many reasons why I think he was a hero. He went to France during the war with Britain, and secured a military alliance. Without it we would have lost the war and would not be the country we are today. After the war, he helped negotiate peace with Britain which helped because we were finally at ease and weren't afraid of Britain attacking us. Although Franklin and his wife had two slaves, he was the one who suggested the first school for slaves and free blacks. One of his most known inventions was the lightning rod, which stopped houses from burning down and saved many lives. He was the oldest delegate out of 55, in the continental
