The main characters are Nicole as know as Nick in the book, Dara, Nick’s younger sister, and Parker. Nick is seventeen, protective over Dara. Nick is emotionally separated from Dara since the fight that caused the accident. Nick’s habits are snooping in Dara’s diary without asking; Dara reads Nick’s diary as well. I would recommend this book because of the positive messages it has and the strong verbal conversation that keeps you reading until you are till the last page.
I most likely would have only change the end outcome where Dara died to where Nick and Dara reconnected and grew closer than before.
This book relates to my life by how my sisters and I were split apart by an accident and we grew closer through all the pain and trials we had to face on our way back to being a closer family.
“On Dara’s birthday, I wake up even before my alarm. Tonight is the night: Dara and I go back in time. When we become best friends again. When everything gets fixed.” This passage shows the meaning of the story or the whole goal that Nick is trying to achieve being one with Dara again through all the rough and difficult times they went through.
Three vocabulary words that stood out to that I did not know were amicable which means friendly; emulate to follow or mimic; and sagacity which means wisdom.
My reading habits are reading when I’m bored and don’t have anything to do when I am away from the rest of my homework. I am more at peace when I read outside in the quiet, and I don’t do well reading at night because I get giddy and
