Finally, Gilbert started crying and breaking the house to express his sadness. I found the order interesting because it has meanings for me. Arnie is very honest with himself so he was the first one who cried. Amy was trying to be strong, but because she cares about her mother a lot, she then started crying. Ellen followed with Amy. She cares about their mother more than she thought. Gilbert was the last one to break down because he does not know how to react with the situation, and he also does not know how to respond to his own emotions. After seeing all his siblings crying, he finally accepts his feeling towards his mother’s death. On the other hand, I am also thinking that this could show how much love they have towards their mother. Arnie has the most love for Bonnie, and Gilbert has the least.
