Dress Code Is Dumb

Decent Essays
Dress code is dumb. Dress code is a policy that is held in every school that everyone has to follow or there will be consequence .In my opinion to the dress code policy ,i think it should be removed from our particular school ,IECHS. I mean ,we have college classes and we should be allowed to wear anything ,just like in regular college.Infinity early college high school should have more privileges than any other school ,but it should be to where it’s fair. Many students don't have the appropriate clothes because they have money problems . Teachers need to think about others and agree on a policy that everyone can follow .We all do have one life and we should be able to enjoy that with the way we dress in some way .We students go to school

What I've come to experience with the dress down is a negative. I remember waking up knowing we had a dress down to not worry about putting my uniform in the washer/dryer. Dress codes standards send home students every day, all over the country, for being too revealing. Most are girls, and on occasions, boys that struggle with the standards, therefore they should be lowered. It’s taking away from your class time, limits self-expression, and the rules can sometimes not be correctly administered are all problems caused by dress codes standards. The dress code can take away from class time because everyone is more concerned with how we are dressed, rather than worrying about if we’ll do good on our next math test, or studying for the history final. During class, teachers can stop their lesson to tell one of their students that they are violating dress codes, therefore taking time away from class and from other students learning for something that is not relevant outside of school.…

We all know that group of girls who show up to school with their breast popping out of their shirts, butts hanging out of their shorts, and belly shirts that show way too much skin. Obviously, dressing like this to school is in no way appropriate, and should be addressed. Another argument of why the dress code should be enforced is the fact that school is a learning environment and that we should be teaching kids how to dress for the future. By doing this, you are helping young adults understand that wearing a crop top or (for boys) wearing saggy pants to an interview definitely won’t get you a job. Others may say that enforcing the dress code, like providing school uniforms, will help families that are in poverty and will decrease bullying when it comes to making fun of someone’s…
