have always felt like a natural caretaker and it has driven me to help others in any way possible.
As an infant, my father became trapped in a house fire which resulted in significant scarring
over 65% of his body and the loss of his right leg. His outlook on life has made me grateful for
the gifts I might have taken for granted. These traits and experiences have increased my desire
to go into the medical field, but it wasn't until I started my college career that it became clear
what my calling was.

Being the manager of a flight school has really taught me about
dealing with different people and personalities on a daily basis. My job includes managing
accounts, staff, and unsettled clients as well as conflict resolution. This job has also provided
me with skill in both multitasking and time management. In the two years I have been with
Texas Flight I have also been attending school full time and have been named Captain of the
High School Girls Klein Lacrosse team. Throughout this period of time I also managed to stay on
top of my academics keeping my grades in the A and B range. My life experiences parallel the
skills needed to adjust to life at Texas A&M, and eventually my future in the medical field, by
teaching me how to balance my life, career and education, not to mention being a team player.
We all are aware of the huge workload that is required by pre-medical studies. Statistics
show that it is almost impossible to get into medical school without attending a university with
an outstanding science department at a number of respected universities. However, I believe
that if Texas A&M University’s reputation proves anything, it is that their curriculum prepares
their students far beyond of their competitors. I know that with my work ethic and drive, along
