Sgt. Orosco and I spoke regarding the information received referring to the hiring process for CO II applicants, specifically in Safford. Warden Roberts and Sgt. Orosco had a conversation sometime last week in reference to applicant processing times. Sgt. Orosco elaborated on the conversation saying he spoke specifically about applicants having medical and/or psych issues and the amount of time it takes for those applicants to clear the process. I asked the Sergeant if there had been any discussions about the entire hiring process and/or BIU time frames. He then recalled a discussion they had approximately a month ago. He and the Warden had discussed the hiring process and he told her, if the applicants have no hang ups it takes 2-3 weeks
