The United States is comprised of many ethnic groups also, the cultural beliefs and practices are likely to differ as it relates to the different ethnic groups. With regards to Islam and Hinduism there are differences in attitudes towards death. Muhammad is the founding prophet of Islam. Additionally, Islam is one of the world’s major religions. At the heart of Islam is a belief in an all-powerful, transcendent God who has created the universe and who controls it down to the smallest detail (Molloy, 2008).
