Shakespeare wants the readers to understand the decisions people make in love when they think the world is against them. Romeo and Juliet Act 2 Scene 2 is a play written by Shakespeare. Romeo saw Juliet on the balcony and Romeo went up there and they showed their love to one another even though they have different last names. People make different decisions when they are in love versus when they are not. Romeo proclaims, “Call me but love, and I’ll be new baptized;” (Romeo and Juliet 2.2.50). In the quote Romeo is saying that if Juliet claims Romeo to be hers, he will be a Capulet. Juliet conveys, “If thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully,” (Romeo and Juliet 2.2.94) In the quote Juliet is saying if you really do love me then pronounce that
