In the article, “ Climbing Into Jon Krakauer”, it states “In 1977, Krakauer made several attempts to climb Devil's Thumb, a mountain in Southeastern Alaska.” Just like Chris, Krakauer had a goal in Alaska, whether it was going there, or doing something there. Krakauer wanted to climb Devil’s Thumb and gave up after several attempts. On the other hand Chris went all the way to Alaska and could’ve given up during his journey but did not. Just like Chris, Krakauer took a risky attempt...to climb Mt. Everest. Chris’s risk was going to Alaska unprepared. The article, “ Climbing Into Jon Krakauer” also states, “but the descent proved to have numerous complications, costing many—including mountain guides—their lives.” This shows evidence that Krakauer felt what Chris could have possibly felt as well. They both could have died in their risky adventure. Sadly, Chris died and didn’t get to tell the world about his adventure, but Krakauer lived to tell, and describe what Chris could have possibly went
