On October 16, 1923, Walt Disney and his brother Roy O. founded the studio. In the beginning of the Walt Disney Studio, producers created short films that eventually led up to the famous full length films. It all began when Cinderella's father married Lady Tremaine, who would be the person to test her limits, and welcomed her two daughters into his home. When Cinderella's father was not there, Lady Tremaine practically treated her like a maid and ended up locking her in the basement when she simply asked to go to the ball. Fortunately for Cinderella, she was an optimistic person and stayed hopeful through it all. With the optimism she obtained, she also had courage to take action in her life, which resulted for the better. With the help of her fairy-godmother, she was able to sneak out of the basement in order to go to the ball, where she met the prince who fell in love with her. Without being courageous and believing that she could make it back to the house before her step-family arrived back home, she could have possibly lived the rest of her life serving her step-mother and step-sisters. Kindness and respect is also a big characteristic showed from their Cinderella in the movie. Unlike some people, Cinderella had a pure heart filled with kindness that she showed to her entire step-family no matter how they treated her. Rather than respond with hate to the evil actions thrown at her, she responded respectfully and did not let their actions influence her to treat others poorly like they did to
