Most people focus more on speaking than they do when listening. Studies have shown that many successful leaders and entrepreneurs credit their success through effective listening skills. It is the building block to all success depending on the degree to which we perceive and understand messages. Emotions are central to any interpersonal relationship, it is the body 's multidimensional response to any event that enhances or inhibits one 's goal. When we feel connected to someone, emotional experiences of joy and happiness plays an important role in those rewarding moments. There are three different stages of emotions: joyful and affectionate emotions, hostile emotions, and sad or anxious emotions. It 's important to know what causes and influences our emotions so we can better understand our own emotion and better at responding to others when we display them. Particularly, when someone we care about display behaviors associated with anger, we are likely to give them space or provide them support. As humans we experience a broad range of emotions but to understand them is by better examining and to look for common characteristics in them. Human beings grouping together and creating interpersonal bonds was a key element in the success of our species, and the ability to express emotions played a role in this success.
