I did a lot of writing while I was in the tenth grade. The English teacher I had at the time was the best when it came down to writing. I did not have too much interest in writing at the time but Mrs. Perez changed that, she gave me a new perception on writing and how it can change society. Mrs. Perez would always recommend really good books, one of which was a book called “His Dark Materials”. This story is about a young girl and her allies, fight for the discover of a dark substance called the “Dust”. This changed my perception about writing creatively. I learned that having an imagination can help make your dreams a reality.

At the time I was really into computers and gaming in general because I was a kid and videogames kept kids out of trouble from where I was from, so I am usually hooked to them when I am around them. The first memory I have is when I was about three or four years old, and I would be using my dad’s computer to play games like “Reader Rabbit”, or “Lemmings”. I actually knew how to maneuver myself through DOS, and had most of the command lines memorized so that I would be able to play my games on it when my dad was not home. I have been feeling like my writing had evolved to something better now that I knew more about the basics thanks to Mrs. Perez. However she did not like the paper I wrote, she felt that I could do a better job, and she also felt that I owed it to myself to do a better job, because she knew I was capable of doing more with my writing. When I was on my way back home, I thought to myself maybe this is the kick in the teeth I needed to improve on my writing. So I went back home with my head held high because I was really excited about what I could write about. I know I kind of came off like a time boy during my Tenth Grade year in school but
