Religion Assessment
Micah was a follower of Isaiah. He came from the—somewhat unknown—village of Moresheth. Micah had attacked the rich and dishonest leaders of Moresheth during his time. He wrote to the Israelites who were living in Judah. He warned them that God was unhappy because they disobeyed Him and His law. Micah assured that the people in Judah who obeyed the law and did what was right would change God’s judgement and Israel would not be destroyed. Micah was a prophet of social justice. He started out telling the Israelites of their consequences, but then started telling them that their lives would be filled with hope, faith, love, and justice.

One of them is shelter the homeless. She didn’t necessarily contribute to the building of houses for the homeless, but what Saint Katharine did do was help contribute to the building of schools for children who couldn’t afford to go to a regular school. Some of the children could have classes, but maybe they weren’t in a building. She was giving these children a chance to go to school with a roof over their heads. Another Work of Mercy that she lived was instruct the ignorant. Saint Katharine Drexel had built these schools so Native and African American children could have a formal education and learn what they will need to know in the future. She also lived out comfort the afflicted. Another reason why she built these school was to make sure that the children would be socializing with each other and not living in the shadows for their whole lives. She wanted them to grow up and live happy lives. In building these schools, she probably lifted the spirits of thousands of children across the country. The final Work of Mercy that she lived out was pray for the living and the dead. Every day, Saint Katharine and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament prayed that the children would live their new schools and that they would be educated
