Suzanne had heart problems that followed afterwards, she realized that life was very short. This can be supported with a small passage from the book, “But what is life if you don't live it?” (Patterson 21). Suzanne had a heart attack due to the stress that her job as a doctor was placing on her shoulders. Subsequently, this is when she came into realization that she needed to straighten her priorities.
