Hello, year 10 and Miss Johnson, today I will be discussing how bias may be present in documentaries and feature articles. The feature article that is being discussed is remembering chernobyl written by Tobias Muenchmeyer and the documentary be discussed is bowling for columbine directed by Michael Moore. The definition of bias is ‘prejudice for or against one person or group, especially in a way considered to be unfair’(dictionary.com, 2017), bias can also be a way to manipulate an individual's decision because they will be give stronger point for or against one side. It is important to be able to identify bias because you should be able to come to you own conclusion about a situation, person or movement.
