The View was magnificent, the green grasses, the fresh air, and the sunshine shining on the landscapes and the trees swaying with wind. It was as if the world was reborn, the ashes were nowhere to be seen, and no fires nor smoke in the air or in sight. We stepped of the door platform and closed the door behind us so they would not ever know that we went outside the main bunker. It has been ten years since we have been outside in the real world, we have no real windows in the bunker they are all electronic. We are all sticking together like Indian's or a wolf pack, so that we can survive and share food together. We have plans for a home we are going to build a big log cabin for all of us, until we are able to build singular homes. We were so …show more content…
We uncovered the vines and leaves from around it. It was a camera, it looked inactive but it was active the red light was blinking on the side of the camera. We cut the wires with a pocket knife that someone had to turn the camera off. We knew they would be coming, so we prepared for war. We were all scared to go out of the house but we had too, we dug trenches and holes and covered them up with grasses bamboo poles and sticks. We were using strategies that no other humans thought was …show more content…

At least we will be prepared for the worst and the best, but we are not taking any chances at getting killed or imprisoned by them. The Wind was blowing giving them an advantage at getting us, but there is no way to reach the cabin without falling in a Pit, trench, or gigantic hole in the ground, It was impossible. Nobody knew what was going to happen nor what weapons they have. We were all nervous, but for a really good reason. The Green Eye did not tolerate Rebellions at all, he killed every rebellion that happened in the bunker and outside the bunker, he has supernatural powers on his side as another advantage. But we also had many advantages, the cabin for an example, it was covered in a sappy, fire proof lacquer, that nothing could pass through not even the finest dust or water. We also have some fine archers on our side, also we have a cannon that somehow survived from the scorch. Trees are also to our advantage we cut little slivers in the bottoms and tied strings to them that we have hooked to the house that are hooked to levers that can release them and the tree will fall on demand. We were resourceful people using nature as our allie though this small

Ever since my first backpacking trip 6 years ago, I’ve had an affinity for the Appalachian Trail. I’m constantly looking for excuses to mash our lives into the giant, 50 liter bags, and hit the trail for a few days. This past year, in early fall, I convinced my parents to don their sturdy boots and disappear into the wilds of bear state park with me for three days. We were dropped off at the top of Bear Mountain and, while my parents argued over directions, I wandered around the windswept ridge.…
