Most members of the community have conservative values. The families in the boundaries of the school mostly live in single-family homes. Many of the families in the community have stay-at-home parents, with the other providing the family income. These factors affect the teacher in the classroom. The teacher has many volunteers and help from the family to help copy, cut, and create items for the week. Because of the large amount of stay at home parents and active parents in the students lives, the teacher has to make sure that she is careful with what she is teaching because the parents will find the mistakes. I have found that emails from the parents will be constant, and conference request will come in abundance. Because of desirability of the community and school the teacher needs to be prepared for new students throughout the year. District contextual factors within the school district also play a part in the teaching and learning process. Brevard Public School District is the 10th largest in the state of Florida with over 73,000 students, about 9,000 employees and 82 schools (city-data). Everything is the class is labeled, and the students do not have to ask where items belong. The organization in the classroom differs from time to time, but some aspects stay the same. The white board is always in the front of the class as well as the doc. cam. The student’s desks are in groups in the center of the room. On each side of the room there is a table with blue or pink fluffy chairs. To the side there is also a class library. The class has two long cabinets and counters on opposite ends of the class for storage and paperwork.
