Hannah Grace takes in every face in the stands, the smells from the concession stand, the constant beat from the band, but most of all, finally a team to cheer for. Being a member of an organized squad is an all new experience for her.
After being home-schooled kindergarten through 12th grade, Grace had to make the transition into a college classroom setting and becoming a member of a coed cheer squad.

At the time, the school district in the area was not up to the standards the family hoped for. Grace said during this difficult time, her family really prayed for guidance, ultimately making the choice to home-school.
“God’s light shines through her every day,” said Molly Beth Hubbert a close friend to Grace. “I believe everyone can see that.”
Grace did not have the normal experience as people in her community did when it came to classroom learning and playing on sporting teams. During elementary and middle school, Grace and her sister were taught by their mother, but during high school years the courses were completed online.
Meridian Christian Home Educators is the governing body over the home-school system in Meridian, Mississippi. Through MCHE students can participate in service projects, volleyball, basketball, prom and homecoming, but most importantly a graduation ceremony.
The MCHE gave home-school students the ability to learn at their own pace while staying involved within the community.
