Was the article reliable and valid? Explain.
You can tell that the authors where very knowledgeable on the subject they were discussing. They provided many facts and information relating to the subject and information they were trying to elaborate on in this article.
Was this article well-written? Thoughtful and reflective?
I really enjoyed reading this article. The way George Palermo and Richard Khnudten had it lay out and broke into subcategories on the topic made it very clear to understand. They had each subject separated as if you were reading a real case study. IT started with the background and history of the patient, the medical examination of the patient, diagnoses, and lastly the jury verdict.
What were the limitations in this article? Any variables?
The only real limitation I saw was that they focused on only one case where a serial killer attempted to pled not guilty due to mental illness. There are plenty of others like Ed Gein, Andrew Goldstein, Steven Steinberg, ect, but it simplifying it to one well know name did make it a lot easier to understand.
