What is public opinion?
The distribution of the population's beliefs about politics and policy issues.
What is demography?
The science of population changes.
What is a census?
A tool used to understand demographics.
How many waves of immigration have there been?
Three; late 1800's, late 1800's and early 1900's and late 1900's.
What is a melting pot?
A mixing of cultures, ideas and people.

Old, caucasian, rich, christian.

Voters who connect their opinions with the party as a whole.

Voters who think in terms of who they like or dislike.
What are nature of the times voters?
Voters who vote against the party causing misfortune no matter the issues.

Voters who judge the candidates solely on personality.
What is a protest?
A form of political participation that is designed to change policy through unconventional methods.
What is civil disobedience?
A conscious decision to break a law and suffer the consequences.
