Paper production

1)Trees are cut down and transported by lorry to paper mill.


2)Bark is stripped off and cut into small pieces by a chipper.


3)Undergo chemical/mechanical pulping to become mushy pulp.


4)Pulp is washed, bleached and pressed flat. Then dried and cut to size.

Plastic Production

Crude oil is extracted from the ground and separated into fractions by fractional distillation. Fractions can be linked together to form polymers or cracked so it becomes polymerised. These can then be cut or moulded.
