What is the Multi Store Model of Memory? |
It is an explanation of Memory as a flow of information through a series of stages |

First is the Sensory Memory. Second is the Short Term Memory Third is the Long Term Memory |

Sensory Memory
|
Sensory memory is memory acquired by the senses.
The capacity is only a couple of seconds. |

Short Term Memory
|
This is acquired when attention is used from the sensory memory and converts it to STM.
Has a capacity of 18 seconds |

Long Term Memory
|
This is recquired when the short term memory is rehearsed and transfered to LTM.
The capacity is 2 minutes to 100 years |
