A client has been on an antibiotic for 2 weeks and has developed a superinfection. The client asks the nurse what a superinfection is. The nurse responsds with:

A superinfection is a SE of antibiotic therapy. The antibiotic destroys the body's normal flora, resulting in another infection. The other options do not describe a superinfection.
A client has been discharged with a prescription for penicillin. Discharge instructions include that:
