4 steps of introspection?

1. Get participants


2. Give them a stimuli e.g: pictures, sounds , in a standardised procedure


3. Say everything they're feeling and note down everything they say ( thoughts , feelings )


4. Measure and compare responses to specific stimuli

Weaknesses of introspection ?

Subjective - biased results , he cannot directly observe so it's his ideas of what the participants results mean

Was praised for being 1st person to acquire knowledge using scientific methods
