Why is it important to let an engine run for 2 minutes with Ng below 90% before shutting down? |
If you fail to cool the engine, it cannot be restarted for 2 hours. Failure to cool the engine can result in compressor thermal bow and significant engine damage. If for some reason you are unable to wait the 2 minutes, you can carry out Engine Fire after Shutdown and then restart the engine within 5 minutes, otherwise you must wait the 2 hours. Ref: caution 3 on card 22 |

Before turning on the RIPS, what configurations are acceptable wrt the electrical system? |
Start the APU, select APU to Emerg, and keeps the AC busses CPLD. Select AC busses to SPLIT, and consider selecting APU to Emerg in critical phases of flight. The AC can elect to not start the APU in order to conserve fuel during long transits. |

Time limit for NF avoid bands? |
25-39%: no time limit, must not be allowed to stabilise. 58-73%: 3 seconds. |

When would you experience Loc deviations? What do you do? |
Winds from the starboard side and a Yaw offset of ~13° from ILS loc path. Try adjusting speed to change the crab angle, disengage the APPR mode and fly manually, or initiate a missed approach. |
