Juran, interpreted and applied Pareto’s finding to management. Using production and sales as an example, the 80/20 rule states that 20% of a company’s product line accounts for 80% of the company’s sales volume. Respectively, that 20% of the product line would occupy 80% of the company’s warehouse space.
