Both the tables and chairs are secure and sturdy enough to lean, yet they are able to slide under too much pressure. The lighting is distributed evenly without being too dim or too bright. There is not an area set aside in case a child becomes over-stimulated. Voices are heard throughout the classroom without echoes. The room is only noisy during center time and when a child is upset. It is easy to listen and focus on a child next to you unless a child was being distracting by throwing a fit. The décor of the room was not too barren or over-stimulating. The room is decorated with numerous educational posters, the alphabet, children’s work, and the different centers are labeled. The furniture around the room supports children’s independent activities. There are child-sized shelving where they can pick their own books, get and put materials away. There are also several clean-up areas in the room that consist of child-sized sinks, paper towel, and trash cans. There are different areas in the classroom that the teacher conducts lessons. For instance, large group is done on the area rug, small group is done at a semi-circle table in the back of the room, and individual and peer work is done at their desks.
